Syndicate Agent Technology Explored In New Trailer
EA and Starbreeze Studios has released a new trailer for the upcoming reboot of the PC and console classic, Syndicate. The new trailer focuses on the Agent's abilities and chip technologies that basically makes the game a lot easier to play.
If the 11 minute gameplay video or 4 minute multiplayer video didn't convince you that Syndicate is a very, very uninspired run-and-gun sci-fi game, this latest trailer just might.
Clocking in at just over the 2 minute mark, the Agent technology trailer focuses on the player's abilities and special powers. For the most part it all seems overwhelmingly over-powered. You can slow down time, freeze enemies in place, cause them to commit suicide and other like-minded things. Check it out below.
Now, some of you might say "It's just like Deux Ex: Human Revolution, why the hate?" to which I must respond...no, no it is not. None of the Deus Ex trailers showed Alex taking out like 10 guys at once or running full-fledged into a room and mowing down a handful of guys with ease. They never showed a trailer where he had an over-powered item that completely wiped out all the AI at once, nor did they ever promote the game as if that was something you could do. Tactics, stealth, and critical thinking were usually the focus of the Deus Ex promotional videos.
I could be wrong but Syndicate is looking extremely generic at this point and the AI comes off as nothing more than fancy looking targets and absolutely nothing else.
You can pre-order the game right now if it's your cup of tea or you can learn more by visiting the Official Website. Syndicate is set for release on February 21st for the Xbox 360, PC and PS3.
