To encourage gamers to pre-order upcoming titles with them, GameStop will occasionally offer exclusive content or extras. Target will be giving you something a little more useful than a t-shirt, though: a $5 gift card.
Target announced today that they will begin selling "reservation cards" in their stores for $1 a pop. The reservation cards are emblazoned with the logo of whichever game you want to pre-order. If you buy the game within seven days of its release, you'll be able to trade in this card for a $5 gift card. The packaging for the reservation card also helpfully notes the game's release date. The first titles participating in the reservation card program are Punch Out!!, EA Sports Active, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings, and UFC 2009 Undisputed. You'll be able to buy the cards starting on April 19th. Back to top
