Tenacious D Performing At BlizzCon 2010

Blizzard revealed today that Tenacious D will be performing at this year's BlizzCon. The rock duo's performance will be part of the convention's closing ceremony.

"The best way to wrap up two days of epic entertainment is with an epic rock concert--and few bands fit the bill like Tenacious D," said Mike Morhaime, Blizzard Entertainment CEO. "We're looking forward to a great show and can't wait to see what Jack and Kyle have in store for everyone attending BlizzCon and watching from home."

The closing concert for BlizzCon will be held on October 23rd. While Tenacious D's performance will no doubt include some old favorites, their set will also feature "new, soon-to-be-legendary songs" as well.

BlizzCon begins on October 22nd and will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center. Tickets are sold out but you can watch from home by purchasing a $40 Virtual Ticket. You will then be able to watch the event on DirecTV or your computer. Virtual Ticket buyers will get the same exclusive World of Warcraft and StarCraft II items as attendees.
