Transformers Animated: The Game Rolls Out To Retailers

There’s a new game based on a show, based on toys, which also happened to be a big box-office blockbuster last year. You have to love how marketing works in media these days. The game, exclusive to the Nintendo DS, has recently been shipped to retailers nationwide, and is now available for purchase.

“Transformers Animated: The Game adds to the mystique and success of the Cartoon Network’s animated television series, by extending the Transformers universe onto Nintendo DS,” said Kim Salzer, vice president of global brand management for Activision. “We are thrilled to continue our incredible collaboration with Hasbro, and bring yet another innovative, interactive experience to fans of this highly-successful Transformers franchise.”

The game contains platforming, slot-car inspired racing games, some side-scrolling puzzles and a lot of Decepticon blasting. Sounds like a typical day in the life of an Autobot. Players can switch between playable Autobots such as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Bulkhead and Prowl. The game is rated ‘E’ for Everyone, and is exclusive to the Nintendo DS.
