Turn 10 Bribes Forza-Fans For CNET Poll

published: 2009-06-10 13:02:19
It’s an unfortunate time in the world of gaming; one of my favorite developers was caught with a little bit of red paint on their hands, hence making them red-handed in an outward attempt to fix a recent poll being held on CNET regarding Forza Motorsport 3 and Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 5.

PlayStation LifeStyle recently ran an article about Turn 10’s aim to fix the polls in the CNET article. From the site, they posted a quote from the Forza forums, in which Che Chou writes, “Hey all. Apparently, CNET.com is having a face-off between Forza and GT. We all know which game is we’d like to see win, so go here: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13746_7-10256571-48.html
And vote for Forza Motorsport 3! Afterwards, come to this thread and post a message letting us know you’ve done it. We’ll gift you a random unicorn! It’s that easy. Do it now!”

Oh, bribe-burn. Personally, I think Gran Turismo 5 looked better at E3. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will be a better game. Only time, lots of video trailers and some hands-on play will tell. However, in our recent Gran Turismo 5 vs Forza Motorsport 3 battle it was a clear victory for Gran Turismo 5.

Apparently Turn 10 doesn’t have a lot of faith in Forza Motorsport 3, in comparison to Gran Turismo 5, at this phase in development. Nevertheless, Forza is due out this October, so they don’t have a lot of time to add whatever else they’re planning on adding. Gran Turismo 5, alternatively, could keep growing until they add everything imaginable that isn’t in Forza 3, simply given that they didn’t set a specific release date. In that regard, Forza 3 does seem like it could be quite dated by comparison.
