THQ and Yukes released a new fight simulation trailer for the upcoming MMA game, UFC Undisputed 3, featuring the real life match-up of Cain Velasquez vs Dos Santos. The fight doesn’t go for very long before one of them gets pounded into submission.

The third game from THQ featuring the modern-day UFC features more fighters, more moves and the surprising addition of Pride. That’s definitely the mode that really sparks my interest given that the rules are a lot less stringent than UFC and in Pride they focus more on striking and martial arts proficiency rather than the ground-game, which is a much stronger focus in the UFC games.

Oh, I bet you didn’t see that knockout coming, did you? Total surprise right there. Hopefully the real fight is a little bit more intense than what was shown in the video otherwise I imagine fans might be a little disappointed.

I’m hoping that with the newer iterations of this series they implement additional real-life mechanics like the face-off tension when two different styled fighters go head-to-head (i.e., Royce Gracie vs Keith Hackney). That’s what I used to love about the old UFC.
