UIG Entertainment's nKPRO Racing Coming This October

UIG Entertainment has announced that one of the most “realistic” racers will be arriving for PC gamers this fall. The upcoming indie game from small-time Italian studio Massarutto will focus on circuit racing using traditional and some production-based sports cars. It's a small game but it aims to make a big impact.

nKPRO Racing will also feature the latest in real-time weather effects that actually affect track conditions, such as rain and moisture, as well as aquaplaning simulation so traction becomes a legitimate factor in how you handle turns, drifts and straightaways at high speeds. Massarutto is obviously new to the game, so I guess they're testing their feet in the proverbial water with nKPRO Racing. It's going to be an uphill battle no doubt given stiff competition from Kunos Simulazioni and Slightly Mad Studios, both working on high titles due out later this year (or potentially next year) such as Assetto Corsa and Project CARS, both of which have been receiving a ton of positive feedback from the community at large.

The gameplay video of nKPRO shows some measure of promise and if it launches at a budget price then I can see this game picking up a small niche audience if you can edit the car liveries and since it comes with a track editor.
