Just when you thought the weekend would be bland with news, here comes a big ‘ole whopper from Xseed games regarding their JRPG series, Valhalla Knights. Once relegated to the handheld PSP, Xseed has made it known that the series will be making an appearance on the Nintendo Wii.
”We are looking forward to delivering the Valhalla Knights series to console gamers,” said Jun Iwasaki, President of XSEED Games. “Eldar Saga is a fantastic extension of the Valhalla Knights world/universe/story, and will offer a unique and engaging experience that is sure to please the Wii fans.”
The game will still retain it’s deep customization features that won gamers over in the first place, but the game will also receive some gameplay expansions to curb the criticism that previous entries received for being dull and repetitive. To fix the problem there will no longer be transitions from walking around to encountering enemies. Also, enemies will now appear on the world map, so players can engage in battle in more places and in a variety of ways.
In addition to some gameplay tweaks, the game will receive a promising online component that allows for two-players to complete the story-mode cooperatively. The game is set for a summer release, exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. You can check out the Official Website for more info on the game or be sure to stay tuned in with Blend Games for further news and updates regarding all things gaming.
