Walking Dead Adventure Game's Platforms Confirmed
Today Telltale Games revealed a bit more information on their episodic Walking Dead adventure game. They announced the game's platforms and the general timeframe you can expect to get your hands on it.
Walking Dead, like the TV show and graphic novels, depicts a zombie apocalypse and human survivors' attempts to escape it. Players will take on the role of Lee Everett, an escaped convict. While he'll meet characters from the comics, the game will focus on a brand new group of survivors.
Telltale says that unlike Jurassic Park: The Game, the action won't be made up primarily of Quick Time Events. Instead, you'll have full control over your environment. Also, it's not a traditional adventure game with puzzles and all that. You'll be fighting off zombies and making tough decisions that could decide your fate or the fate of other survivors. These decisions will have repercussions in later episodes.
There will be five episodes of Walking Dead in total. The first is set to be released in April, according to IGN. A new episode will be released each month. The game will be available on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, PC, Mac and iOS. It's not clear if all of those are launch platforms, though.
The first gameplay footage for the game will air on Monday on IGN. The website will also publish an interview with story consultant Gary Whitta on that date.
