PlayStation Plus' "Instant Game Collection" is being reanimated next week with the recently announced inclusion of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead Episodes One and Two on August 7th.
PlayStation Digital Platforms Community Manager Morgan Haro dragged his carcass over to the PlayStation Blog to make the official announcement this morning. Before Aug. arrives, however, PS Plus still has one more small update for the month of July, giving subscribers access to The Expendables 2 video game at a discounted 20 percent off ($11.99). The Expendables 2 is part of the 2012 PSN Play promotion, highlighting some of the biggest downloadable games of the summer. The PSN Play/PlayStation Plus train keeps rolling on Aug. 7 with the discounted release of SoundShapes. Plusers will get this musical side-scrolling platformer at a discounted 20 percent off ($11.99), and a single purchase on either the PS3 or Vita will unlock the game on the other console as well. But the real highlight of that Aug. 7 PS Plus update is the free download of the critically acclaimed The Walking Dead. Only two of the five episodes are out currently and, next Tuesday, Plus subscribers will gain access to both. No word yet on whether or not the remaining episodes will be added to Plus at a later date but, if you like what you play, the remaining episodes can be purchased for $4.99 whenever they finally release.
