XSeed Games sent out word today that Way of the Samurai 4, the off-beat, RPG beat-e'm-up for the PlayStation 3 has officially launched for Sony's console on the digital PlayStation Network platform. In short, this means that you can create very own samurai and start wrecking havoc for only $39.99...right now.
As stated in the press release... Set immediately after Japan opened its borders to the West in 1853, Way of the Samurai 4 drops players into a world of opportunity and uncertainty as a rōnin (masterless samurai) looking to make a name for himself, and continues the series’ tradition of customization, exploration, action gameplay and quirky humor. Gamers will have three different factions to get involved with, including the British Navy, the shogunate pro-government forces and the nationalistic isolationist. Talk about some serious political parties, eh? Jeesh, makes current American political parties look like a vacation getaway to the Bahamas, Cancun or Bermuda...and that would be Republicans, Democrats and Independents, respectively. Anyway, after you create your very own snazzy samurai, you'll be able to partake in not-so-epic battles, go on less-than-large-scale adventures, and tangle with a sultry mix of multi-flavored villains. It's one of those rare games where you're not trying to overcome insurmountable odds to save the planet. You're just trying to be you...a little 'ole samurai trying to make their way in a mad, mad, mad, mad world. Way of the Samurai 4 lets you upgrade, customize and buy items for your character all while partaking in fisticuffs and sword fights with a side bit of comedy. If that sounds like your kind of gaming experience then feel free to pick up a digital copy of the game from the PlayStation Store. Need more info? Feel free to visit the Official Website.
