Wreckateer Now Available For Xbox Kinect With A Wrecking Launch Trailer
Iron Galaxy Games released a brief walkthrough for the recently released Xbox Live Arcade title, Wreckateer. The launch trailer highlights some of the play mechanics for the body-based, castle destruction game and gives gamers a spiffy idea of what to expect from the XBLA title.
The Kinect gets a lot of hate and duly so, it's sort of a gimped product when it comes to doing anything more than playing loose casual games. However, the Kinect does seem to do well for those “loose” casual games and Wreckateer is one of those titles where gamers will probably have a ton of fun just beating the crap out of castles and kicking the living daylights out of goblins using specialized wrecking balls. The response timing of the Kinect isn't as much of a factor as it is in other games where twitch-skills are a necessity so you can actually focus on having fun instead of being frustrated at the timing delay, which was the case with FromSoftware's Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor.
I can imagine this game being sort of fun with a few friends over and you're just kind of cajoling and blasting the crap out of goblin towers for the heck of it.
If you're not too picky about your gaming experiences and you don't mind putting a little cash into a small, creative title then Wreckateer may not be too much of a bad investment. I mean, a game has to be somewhat fun if it's at least kind of enjoyable to watch, right? Right?!
Well, if you're willing to take the risk...eh, I mean the plunge, you can pick up a digital copy of Wreckateer for the Xbox Live Arcade for only 800 MS Points right now.
