WWE 12: Road To Wrestlemania Trailer

Just about every year there’s a 'Road to Wrestlemania' trailer for THQ's annual WWE games, but I would be lying if I said that each year these trailers didn’t get me amped up for the game's release. Well, this year is no different and the new trailer for WWE 12 gives gamers and wrestling fans alike a glimpse into the story mode that travels along the hard road leading up to Wrestlemania.

The graphics have obviously improved over previous iterations, with a few of the cut-backs and snippets almost looking like the real thing. There’s still a ways to go before gamers won’t be able to see a difference between the real thing and the game, but it looks like Yukes is slowly getting there.

Did anyone else mark out seeing Triple H’s “King of Kings” garb from Wrestlemania XXVII with that unbelievably awesome skull crown? I hope they let you equip created-wrestlers with that accessory it would be a real treat for the fans.

What makes this game different from the others is that it’s running on the new proprietary Predator technology, enabling for better lighting, better physics, and an all new kind of animation system that enables for a smooth transition from one position to the next, really bringing the action of television style wrestling to life. In addition to this, there are new production design elements such as TV camera angles and tighter commentary to keep things flowing just as they would on a live episode of RAW.

You can look for WWE 12 to land on retail shelves for major home consoles starting November 15th. For more information be sure to visit the Official Website.
