WWE 13 Brings Back The Holy Sh*t Moments With WWE LiveAuthor: William Usher

THQ and Yukes are digging deep to make WWE 13 a real worthwhile title and they're not stopping at simply improving on what they added in last year's outing of WWE 12. In addition to the Predator 2.0 this year's rendition has the really cool WWE Live mode.
Now, one of the biggest issues with WWE 12 was probably with the in-game ambiance; it didn't feel like a WWE audience. My biggest gripe was that no matter how much momentum you built up and no matter how cool a match was, the audience never properly responded to it. Thankfully THQ and Yukes are addressing this issue along with improving the game's animations, and having two separate commentary teams: one for today's generation and one from the Attitude era. All the features are pretty neat and you can check them out below, including some moments that warranted the enthusiastic “Holy sh*t!” chants from the crowd. A lot of people have become tired of each iteration of WWE games that don't really improve on the concept of the title quite as much as it could, but WWE 13 seems to be a moderate update over WWE 12. I think it seems to pay homage to the old-school era but by all means it does not look like the true successor to WWF No Mercy or the No Mercy wrestling engine but Yukes is getting close. I imagine by WWE 15 maybe we'll have a wrestling title that finally trumps Virtual Pro 2 and No Mercy with a super-amped-up Predator Engine, while also including all the cool gimmicks from Here Comes The Pain. Well, a fan can hope. You can look for WWE 13 to launch on October 30th later this year for the Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii.
