WWE 13 TV Ad Vows Revolution

THQ has rolled out a new television commercial for their wrasslin' game WWE 13. The video is a live-action press conference starring CM Punk.

It's interesting that they'd use Punk to promote the game. The most touted feature of WWE 13 is the Attitude Era mode, which lets players relive the turn-of-the-millenia glory days of the WWE/WWF. I expected them to make a commercial with one (or more) of the superstars from that period. Still, CM Punk is the cover athlete for the game so he's gotta be in at least a commercial or two.

The presentation for the commercial is kind of amusing. It's rendered in the style of an early 20th century newsreel, with CM Punk speechifying like a dictator on the rise. As a fan of all things old timey, I approve.

WWE 13 will debut on October 30th on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
