The Flaming Hobbit is presented to the best bad movie of the year. You know... the one you're afraid to admit you own when talking to your friends. The movie you keep hidden WAY at the back of your DVD collection. Be afraid no longer! We aren't.

My vote goes to Forsaken. Why? I just like Vampire flicks. It was cheesy, but enjoyably so. Defintly glad I didn't see it in the theatre, but worth renting. But it's bad too. The ending is WAY too slow. There is not enough character development for the vampire hunter. The ending. I'm glad he got cured, but how can he go out and search for the vampire hunter guy without quitting his job? There is no resolution.

Giving my vote to Sugar and Spice. I liked Mummy Returns too much for it to
be a bad film, and 3000 Miles and Forsaken were just bad. Josey is runner
up, but overall Sugar and Spice.

This year few films brought more simultaneous doses of pain and pleasure than Josie and the Pussycats. Populated with hideous corporate advertisements in some misguided attempt to be satirical, Josie is not only mindless and stupid, it may just be the first step on the road to world ruin. Josie represents everything that is totally bad about pop culture and modern America. It is also a helluva lot of fun. The songs are catchy and the girls are fun to watch. I feel dirty for saying so, but I'm still humming that damn song.

I wanted to go with The Forsaken, but I felt it wasn't really a "Flaming Hobbit". Instead, I chose Josie and the Pussycats because it was obviously REALLY bad and much more fun than the rest. First of all, I loved Josie growing up as a kid in the 70's. Then Alan Cumming, whom I like to refer as the king of campy acting, was simply splendid - as usual. And Parker Posey played her worst role ever, but I felt it totally worked with the film.

So my pick for The Flaming Hobbit is Josie & The Pussycats.
Caution: It's a popcorn and bubblegum flick - hideous sweet and (maybe) bad for
your teeth, please ask your Dentist before consuming this film.

After watching all 5, my vote is Josie and the Pussycats. Alan Cummings is
one of my favorite actors and he didn't dissapoint in this one. Parker
Posey(sp) was her usual Fab self, the movie was dark and ironic.
It was the only movie I came away from very glad I had watched. The others
were exactly what I expected.
