I didn’t even realize that the year was lackluster until I reflected back on it. Bands that have literally heralded the indie rock movement some years ago had all released new CDs, but the energy just wasn’t there. This is a declaration of disappointment with some of this new millennium’s so-called musical heroes, whom I fear won’t stand the test of time much longer.
