Aerosmith Mellow Rocks Way Into Video Game
Guitar Hero makers Activision Inc have announced a new line in the mega-popular musical video game. The new edition will exclusively feature Aerosmith songs, approximately thirty tracks, and span the groups’ entire career. Seriously? Who thought this was a good idea?

Let’s get something straight: Aerosmith is a pretty solid band, well-above average, in fact, but people need to stop treating Steven Tyler and the creepy old man aura surrounding him like the goddamn Beatles. Sure, they wrote a handful of great songs, but so did The Steve Miller Band, Rod Stewart, and Jefferson Airplane. I don’t see Grace Slick getting her own video game anytime soon; though, I doubt her unabashed and brazen vocabulary would fly for the Male 8-14 demographics this will undoubtedly be shooting for.

According to NME, the special edition should be released sometime this summer. I won’t be standing in line, but you can bet a shitload of watered down pop rock fans will be. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to crank up “Dream On” and wonder aloud how a band could spiral so far downhill.
