Bought a Microsoft 30 gigabyte Zune? That sucks. Apparently, the knockoff music players are freezing on the logo screen at an alarming rate. IPod currently has a strangled hold on the portable music player market with a staggering seventy-one percent of sales, but Microsoft had hoped its Zune would cut into the market share and help prevent Steve Jobs from creating a monopoly. This won’t help.
According to WSJ, a forum for problems on the Zune website currently has over eighteen thousand comments in the Help-Frozen Zune thread. Up to this point, Microsoft has been relatively mute on the point, only offering vague comments about identifying the problem and working through it.
This is why you pay a little extra for an iPod. This is why you pay a little extra for Tivo instead of the stupid fucking generic DVR the cable company gives you which randomly decides to cock-block you by not recording The Office. Or at least that’s what I’ve heard…
