Beastie Boys Rock For Barack

By Mack Rawden: 2009-01-11 10:09:23
Beastie Boys Rock For Barack No more Bush? Let’s party it up in euphoric glee. That seems to be the attitude of numerous rock stars, and rap pioneers the Beastie Boys are no different. The trio have agreed to join Sheryl Crow for a Washington DC shindig later this month entitled Hey, America Feels Kinda Cool Again. Go ahead and bring Malia and Sasha. The gig is all ages. Apparently you don’t need to be old enough to vote to be happy about the election returns.

According to NME, the extravaganza is actually a gala. That means formal wear is probably required, which greatly increases the chances of Stephen from Top Chef attending. Don’t expect to see The Dude. Cargo shorts and a t-shirt won’t fly here. Tickets are currently on sale for the January 19th concert.

Rock The Vote is sponsoring the event and Citizen Cope will open the festivities.
