Beck Misquotes Himself
I love Beck, but I’m not going to lie: sometimes I can’t figure out what the hell he’s talking about. Apparently, some of his staff members can’t either, because the reissue of his groundbreaking 1996 album Odelay has been marred by lyrical misprintings. The employees in question copied and pasted his sometimes incoherent ramblings from a website, thus proving the internet doesn’t always know it all. I’ll go ahead and blame this one on Al Gore.

According to NME, future versions of the record will feature a spiffy new format with the correct lyrics. Sweet. For those of you unfortunate enough to have purchased the current, riddled with errors LP, you can head over to Beck.com and pick up a new sheet. I’ve yet to hear any of the updated tracks, but I still throw in the original about once a month. It’s without question one of the best CDs of the 90s, and you’re probably not a real music fan if you don’t own it.
