Black Eyed Thriller

Black Eyed Thriller
Twenty-five years ago, Thriller was released to absurd commercial and critical fanfare. Michael Jackson was on top of the World, and his prospects for the future were endless. Then, he turned into a creepster, did some shady, possibly illegal things with children, and pissed off Paul McCartney. Not exactly humanity’s finest example of two decades. Still, based on his past glories, Jackson is a major draw, and his record company has convinced him to re-record Thriller with some special guests.

All of the cameos are yet to be revealed, but this writer can pretty much guarantee Sir. Paul McCartney will not be among the famous faces. Black Eyed Pea members Fergie and will.i.am are rumored to be included in the bunch, though, according to NME. Fergie will likely lend some background vocals on “Beat It”, while will.i.am will fill in for the former Beatle on “The Girl Is Mine.” Sweet. The internet is also abuzz with beauty salon gossip involving a possible remix from Kanye West. CB Music can’t confirm that hogwash at this time, though. I guess you’ll just have to wait and buy the record when it comes out February 11th.
