Hey, do you hate Twilight as much as I do? Well, if you do, go ahead and cast an evil sneer toward Blue October. I had no idea, but apparently, Stephanie Meyer went on tour with lead singer Justin Furstenfeld and he somehow influenced her writing. Go figure. Well, the band has moved on since then, and the now platinum rockers are readying a new disc and European tour.
According to Billboard, the new CD will be entitled Approaching Normal and its first single “Dirt Room.” Produced by Steve Lillywhite, it comes out March 24th via Universal, the same label which humorously dropped the group back in 2002. I guess bygones are bygones.
Speaking about the upcoming release, bassist Matt Noveskey described it as, “was more of a group effort where we all got together and worked up a lot of these songs from scratch.” Great, the more input Ringo had the better.
