Clarkson Picks A Name For New Album
American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson is putting the finishing touches on her fourth album. The songstress’ second album Breakaway moved some twelve million odd units thanks to a catchy fusion of pop, angst, and rock. After a noted public feud with Clive Davis, she wrote the songs herself on the third CD, and the effort didn’t fare nearly as well. Now she’s back with a fourth CD, and only time will tell if she can bottle the lightning a second time.

According to Billboard, the LP is called All I Ever Wanted and will hit record stores on March 17th. In case you’re wondering, she’s still with RCA after the third album brouhaha; Clive Davis is now with Sony. The forthcoming album’s first single, “My Life Would Suck Without You”, is due later this month. It hasn’t to be awesome with a title like that, right?

Kelly Clarkson transcends American Idol. She’s not Bo Bice; she’s not Taylor Hicks. She’s a full-blown pop star, and I sincerely hope this effort puts her back on that track.
