Cool Canadian Concert To Compete With Coachella
What could possibly be more terrifying than a Jay-Z/Linkin Park mash-up? I’ll tell you—a Jay-Z/Coldplay endeavor. Imagine this: Chris Martin fumbling through the tragic vocals of “A Rush Of Blood To The Head (He said I'm going to buy this place and burn it down/I'm going to put it six feet underground/He said I'm going to buy this place and watch it fall/stand here beside my baby in the crumbling walls)” tossed in with a bit of Jay-Z for good measure (All I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriend). This concept could only be worthy of a Chuck Klosterman rant, if you would even call that worthy. While this mash-up is admittedly pure speculation, the two unique musical efforts will be headlining the same three-day musical extravaganza in Pemberton, B. C. this summer.

Over fifty acts are scheduled to play, including Tom Petty, Nine Inch Nails, My Morning Jacket, and Death Cab For Cutie. According to Vancouver Sun , passes go on sale March 28 at 10 a.m. (There will be no one-day passes sold). Thus, if you are willing to both haul yourself to the pastoral Pemberton, as well as shell out the whopping $239 dollars to shake your ass to Jay-Z and then act mystifyingly bored during Death Cab For Cutie, the Pemberton Festival will quite possibly be the niftiest place to be this summer.

As a minor selling point, if you are under 21, the festival, as well as the journey, could be prime opportunity for a drunk-in-public good time. Ah, the youthful joys of border countries…
The Pemberton Festival will be held July 25, 26, and 27. Tickets may be purchased via PembertonFestival.com starting on the earlier acknowledged date.
