A little over two months ago, underground rapper Pimp C was found dead in a Los Angeles Hotel Room. The overnight residence was located on the famed Sunset Strip, echoing memories of Janis Joplin’s untimely demise nearly forty years prior. The coroner’s report was finally released this morning, and it appears a lethal combination of cough syrup and sleep apnea did the emerging hip-hop star in.

According to the LA Times, the death was ruled accidental, though it’s still unclear whether Pimp C took a stronger than normal dose in order to sleep or get wacky off its bizarre side effects. For those of you not familiar with heavy cough syrup ingestion, the practice is commonly known as Robo-tripping, and I once heard it described as a full-body high on par with mixing mushrooms and tequila. Unfortunately, I can’t substantiate these claims because well, I’m not a complete dumbass with a death wish.
