DJ AM, who is recovering from burn injuries sustained in a South Carolina plane crash one month ago, got some good news from his DJ friends this week.
Mark Ronson, Steve Aoki, Danny Masterson, and Mix Master Mike are among the friends and fellow turntablists who will take part in the Welcome Home DJ AM party. The event, which will also serve as a fundraiser for the families of the other victims who did not survive the crash, will be held October 14 at Avalon Hollywood. Tickets for the event will be priced at $20.
The September 19 crash claimed the lives of four people, including the pilot of the Learjet, Sarah Lemmon and the co-pilot James Bland. Also killed were Chris Baker, and Charles Still, who were personal assistant and security guard respectively to former Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker. DJ AM and Barker were the lone survivors of the crash. Both were treated for their injuries and released from Georgia's M. Still Burn Center and each is expected to make a full recovery.
Travis Barker was recently quoted in an interview with US Weekly as saying he was “thankful to be alive.”
Presale Tickets for the Welcome Home DJ AM party can be purchased here. For more information on the memorial being set up for the other crash victims, you can visit the Famous Stars And Straps website.

This party should be off the hook. Considering many DJ's and many headliners from the industry will be attending from all over the US it is a must attend event. Come out and show some support not only to the music industry but to DJ AM for being blessed with such a miracle, obviously his talents are much more needed on earth than elsewhere.
