Add the requisite "he ain't slim no more" jokes wherever you like. Marshall Mathers a.k.a. Eminem a.k.a. Slim Shady a.k.a. The Not-So-Thin White Duke was rushed to a Detroit-area hospital over the holidays due to complications from pneumonia. According to the rapper's publicist, Mr. Mathers, 35, has since been released and is recovering at home. The publicist would not comment on TMZ's report that The Greatest White Rapper Alive now weighs in excess of two hundred pounds. I'm more curious how homeboy managed to catch pneumonia! Too many evenings spent in rain-soaked meadows?
Since Shady Records official mixtape The Re-Up was released in December of 2006, Eminem described his own future projects as being "in limbo" and focused more on producing for his label, although its only release apart from 50 Cent was a sole EP from new artist Cashis. Although both are expected to be out sometime this year, no official announcements have been made regarding a new D12 or solo album.
