Enrique Iglesias Quits, World Loses Hero
Enrique Iglesias is planning on quitting the music business! My heart was aflutter, too, until I found out this wasn’t an immediate decision. Iglesias won’t be quitting the business in five years. He shouldn’t even be quitting in ten. But sometime in the next fifteen or so years, Iglesias’ career will be defunct.

Unlike his famous father, Julio Iglesias, who has lit up stages for decades, Enrique is terrified to consider performing his unique brand of pop music after age fifty. Guess he’s not the brave and dauntless hero we all thought he was. The 32-year old singer still hopes to go out kicking, however. According to MSN music news, Iglesias’ discontentment with his work thus far continually goads him to conjure new and creative music. Iglesias’ greatest aspiration, before he hits fifty, of course, is to create an album that will epitomize his career, “One you listen to 10, 15, 20 years from now and say, 'Oh! I wouldn't change a thing.'"

I suppose the certifiably platinum Escape didn’t really do it for him. C’mon Enrique, “Hero” changed my life, allowing me to be groped in a dimly lit gymnasium by my first ‘serious’ boyfriend circa eighth grade. If that isn’t epitomizing, I don’t know what is…
