According to Rolling Stone about 40 people were arrested for outstanding warrants in Fargo, North Dakota before an Osbourne-Zombie concert on Monday after accepting fake invitations to a “pre-party.” Those who accepted made their way to a nearby sportsbar and were busted before the concert at the Fargodome. Some warrants included those who ignored court summons, failed to pay fines, and ignored child support payments. The fake invitations were sent out by PDL Productions – PDL standing for Paul D. Laney, a county sheriff. Laney commented on the arrests saying, “It was more of a warrant party. Some actually thought it was pretty funny.” Funny? Wouldn’t you think total buzzkill? I’m sure spending the night in jail because you couldn’t make your bail was just… hilarious. There’s no official word as to whether Osbourne or Zombie knew of the sting operation but clearly watch out for any outstanding fines next time you are invited to an unexpected shindig.
