Farrell On Lolla Leaker: Piss Off Pepe

Perry Farrell was pissed for about 2.5 seconds, hours after finding out his Lollapalooza lineup was leaked to presses before he could officially reveal the Radiohead-NIN-Rage headlining super acts. I will now input blatant disregard for the rest of the lineup as it offers, essentially nothing we haven’t seen before.

Farrell spoke with MTV regarding Chicago Sun-Times blogger Jim DeRogatis, who leaked a partial lineup Friday, including the headliners, just before today’s official announcement. “My initial reaction? Well ... this guy, he's a stinker, so it was kind of like having a skunk at the party. So what do we do? Well, I think we should make him the stinky mascot. ... That's what I'm going to do. ... I’m sure most of that stream-of-consciousness ramble made sense, you know, in Farrell’s head. The Jane’s Addiction front man continued, rather immediately "It doesn't bother me that much. Why? Because I'm really proud of the lineup.” Farrell has some fancy friends in the form of Tom Morello, who agreed to put RATM back on the festival circuit over dinner and Kanye West who personally contacted him to be apart of the fest. With friends like those, its no wonder you conjured the best headlining festival announcement. But remember, just the headliners.
