Nothing quite brings out famous faces like charity galas and ceremonies honoring musicians. Combine them both and people fall all over themselves to get in on the feel-good action. On February 6th, MusiCares is putting on its annual fest, and this year’s honoree is Neil Diamond, a man who should be remembered for much more than just “Sweet Caroline.”
According to Rolling Stone, the Foo Fighters and Coldplay have just signed on to perform, joining Tim McGraw, John Mayor, and Adele who previously reserved their spots. American Idol favorite and brilliant actress Jennifer Hudson will also be in attendance in what may turn out to be her first public appearance since the unfortunate murder of several of her family members.
Diamond is being honored for both his artistic contributions to society, as well as all his recent hurricane relief work.
