Most musicians credit parents, friends, or teachers for their success. Not George Michael. In fact, the troubled Wham founder doesn’t even cite influential artists, alcohol, or cocaine for fueling his run to stardom. Apparently, it was a childhood accident that sealed his pop star career. If this was anyone else, I’d assume they were miss quoted, but George Michael marches to the beat of his own drummer. Once again, probably because of this childhood accident.

According to Music-News, the “Faith” crooner was obsessed with insects until a childhood fall shifted his bug infatuation to a music obsession. Note to all current and future parents: the next time your child falls off a ladder or face plants onto a foosball table, don’t hire some shoddy lawyer to sue a big corporation. Just mold your child into an unstoppable record selling machine. You’ll make more money in the long run.
