Green Day To Work On New Album

Three piece mega-trio Green Day has made plans to enter the studio early next year. Early reports have indicated the multi-platinum group will steer away from the politically-charged rantings of their 2004 bestseller American Idiot. This altered course could pave the way for more feel good hits like “Welcome To Paradise”, “Basketcase”, and “Brain Stew.” Sweet.

According to Music-News, the process should take at least nine months; so, don’t expect to be bombarded by local radio stations until at least late 2008. Aww shucks. I’m actually excited about Green Day getting back to its roots. Billie Joe bitching about our President over three-chord pop-punk riffs isn’t really my definition of fun.
