Houston Saddened by Brown’s Cutting Bio

As if their divorce didn’t create enough bitterness between R&B exes Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, Brown’s autobiography, “Bobby Brown: The Truth, The Whole Truth, and Nothing But…” places the bulk of their marriage’s failure on Whitney’s shoulders, even going so far as to blame her for his tirade into hard drug use.

The book is due out in May, but SFGate.com let loose several details, which have succeeded in airing out the ex-couple’s dirty laundry, and not in a sensitive way.

“I never used cocaine until after I met Whitney. Before then, I had experimented with other drugs, but marijuana was my drug of choice,” Brown wrote. “At one point in my life, I used drugs uncontrollably. I was using everything I could get my hands on, from cocaine to heroin, weed and cooked cocaine.”

Brown also confessed to his share of bed-hopping throughout the 15-year marriage, saying, “I am guilty of sleeping with other women. ... Women are always throwing themselves at you. I'm only human, so I would make the mistake and bite the hook sometimes. I let the testosterone take over.” He also claims the entire marriage was based on false pretenses, saying Houston only married him to “clean up her image,” while he had his mind on being loved and having children.

Romantic sweetheart that he is, Brown’s claims were only answered by disappointment from Houston, whose spokesperson said, “Miss Houston is sad that Bobby feels he needs to say such things, but she chooses to take the high road and will not speak badly about the father of her child, even if it's to set the record straight.”

And somehow, by abstaining from a stinging public riposte, Houston seems to come out cleaner, as the smack-talking Brown puts his foot further into his own mouth. Maybe the bitter-blogging Scott Weiland could learn a thing or two here.
