Iran Hates Rap Music
Continuing in their quest to purge Iran of immoral filth, the current Iranian regime has begun cracking down on rap music. Hip Hop has experienced a surge in popularity among young males for the last several years, and this, clearly, cannot continue without the entire country deteriorating into a Sodom-like cesspool of debauchery and unplanned pregnancies or so ministry leaders would tell you.

According to NCR-Iran, the crackdown is just the latest in a series of moves designed to curb public behavior. Starting in April, the regime began squelching provocative dress, illegal satellite dishes, and inappropriate cafes. Good call. Totalitarianism always ends well. Just ask Mussolini.

I’m actually torn on this issue, though. I’m completely opposed to censorship in all forms, but rap music blows ass. Part of me can understand how a government would be so disgusted with it. Still, everyone has the right to suck in peace; so, I just can’t condone this.
