Always one to swim against the current, Janet Jackson has eschewed the recent boycotting previously scheduled gigs for SNL trend, instead cancelling her late night performance for a spontaneous hospital visit. The famous little sister checked into the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles complaining of flu-like symptoms earlier this week.

According to TMZ, her condition worsened yesterday, so much so that she was forced to blueball The Not Ready For Primetime Players. There’s no word yet on who will replace the stuffed-up starlet, but I wouldn’t be shocked to see Paul Simon. He’s a long time friend of Lorne Michaels and has appeared on the show twelve times.
