Jay-z once claimed he was finished recording music. Since then, he has released the album Kingdom Come and, more recently, American Ganster. Now, after three years of signing acts like Rihanna and Ne-yo to Def Jam Records, Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter is finished acting as president for the record label.

According to Yahoo.com, as of Monday, Jay-Z has declared that, after his contract is up at the end of the year, it will be, “time for (him) to take on new challenges."

I guess the ten million dollar contract Jay-Z purportedly signed to run Def Jam Records is nothing compared to “them g’s” Jay-Z can spend riding on the fame of his initial success as a rapper.
