The artistic community’s circle jerk around Barack Obama is trucking on full steam ahead. Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy has just announced a Chicago concert/ fundraiser, in which the candidate is slated to make an appearance. If you’re keeping score at home, that’s the second benefit he’s played for our generation’s Bobby Kennedy.
According to Pitchfork, the gig will take place on July 11th at the Park West venue. Tickets are selling in the three digits; so, go ahead and just make the minimum payments on your Visa Card this month in order to free up some extra cash.
The concert is technically being held by Jeff Tweedy and friends, making it a high probability random Obama supporters will show up beyond Tweedy and the already scheduled Otis Clay.
