Aging pretty boy Jon Bon Jovi is contemplating a run at the New Jersey governorship. The forty-five year old, an outspoken Democrat, has hired PR specialist Ken Sunshine, the puppet master behind former New York City mayor David Dinkins. The frontman is also hanging onto his New Jersey home in order to comply with residential restrictions.

According to Music News, a potential run might not take place for a few years, but the political aspirations are definitely there. Thank God I don’t live in Jersey. I’m not sure I could handle Fireside Chats from the same dude who once crooned about giving love a bad name. Here’s to hoping this campaigning doesn’t inspire other musicians to run for office. I’m not sure I can deal with an Axl Rose congressional bid or Ringo Starr sitting on my local school board.
