Lil Wayne Preps New Album

Not willing to let pending legal issues hold him back, multi-platinum rapper Lil Wayne is putting the finishing touches on his long-awaited LP Tha Carter III. The release has been marred by numerous setbacks, not the least of which was Wayne’s tour bus being pulled over with enough Ecstasy to get an entire small town ‘a dancin and enough firepower to put down Shay’s Rebellion.
According to Pitchfork, May 13th is hopefully the last in a long line of announced release dates. “Lollipop”, the record’s first single, has already made its mark on MTV, and the full album is rumored to include guest spots from Kanye West, ‘Lil Mama, and Jibbs. Wikipedia just told me ‘Lil Wayne is currently enrolled in classes at the University of Houston with a major in Psychology. Good for him. Maybe he can help some of his hip-hop counterparts work through their anger issues. RELATED: lil wayne
