Lost: Kurt Cobain's Ashes

It’s practically impossible to wrap your head around whatever Courtney Love decides she’s going to pull out of her ass on any given Tuesday, but if true this is downright heartrending. Love, widow of former Nirvana singer and grunge guru Kurt Cobain, reportedly told News of the World that her former husband’s ashes were stolen from her Hollywood home, along with thousands of dollars worth of clothes and jewelry.

"I find it disgusting and right now I'm suicidal.” Love said. “Now it feels like I have lost him all over again." Though a portion of the former Nirvana singers remains were scattered both in a Buddhist temple in New York and a river along his home in Washington, Love reveals the rest of what was left was secured tightly in a pink teddy bear-shaped purse, along with a single lock of his hair. Really? I don’t know which is creepier - the fact the there is someone out there toting Cobain’s ashes, or the fact that they are being kept in a teddy bear purse – with his hair.

Love continued, "They were all I had left of my husband. I used to take them everywhere with me just so I could feel Kurt was still with me.” But wait! If you carried them everywhere Courtney, wouldn’t you have noticed someone ransacking your sacred teddy bear from your own home? That is, unless, you were too blitzed to notice someone stealing your leftover husband from right under your nose. Pun intended.
