Marshal Mathers Back On The Scene
Blessed be! We’re finally going to get back to the way things were—when artists damned the consequences and said whatever it is that they felt and thought on any given subject (be it politics, sexuality, or food). The Real Slim Shady is making his illustrious comeback to the music scene and giving the bullshit C-rap artists in full rotation on today’s Top 40 a true run for their money.

Eminem’s protégé, 50 Cent told BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat “You'll be seeing him shortly. He's working. I spent the weekend at his house. Even though he tries to relax and stay home it's impossible for him to stay in.” However, 50 admits that Em, always the consumate artist, is far from satsified from the work he’s produced thus far, “A lot of material he wrote prior to this [announcement] is being scrapped.” He adds, “He's got to feel like it's just happened, it's new and it's current. That's just how he is creatively as an artist.

Although this is, no doubt, wonderful news for the multitudes of Eminem fans, it’s far from surprising that the star, who took a subsequent four year hiatus from the music industry after his 2004 release Encore, would feel the itch to come back and give his fans, and his unsilencable naysayers, something that everyone will be talking about for the months that follow.

I am beyond elated that the ever verbose and unquenchably opinionated Mathers has decided to grace us with his presence once more. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for those sucker MCs (and I use MC loosely, in this context) who think they even have a chance at going to heels with this man.
