When you think of Las Vegas, a few thoughts spring to mind: gambling. Hookers. Alcohol. Credit card debt. Maybe even Celine Dion. But if Michael Jackson has his way, Sin City will also make you think about…him.
E!Online reports that the fallen King of Pop is looking to jumpstart his career in the flashy Nevada city. After 18 months of living in seclusion in Bahrain and Ireland, he has packed up his kids and decided to relocate to Vegas. He’s sure hoping this comeback will have a happier ending than his last disastrous attempt.
Businessman Jack Wishna, trying to keep things on the hush-hush, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal: "Yes, he's here, and yes, we're working on projects. But we're not willing to disclose anything." The rumor mill suggests that he is looking to develop a live show on the Strip.
The news comes after more legal woes for Jackson, who recently sued his former accountants, Bernstein, Fox, Whitman, Goldman & Sloan. He claims they withdrew $2.5 million from his accounts each year, and used his funds to hire new people and delve into business plans without his consent. Sounds like someone should step away from their ratty VHS copy of Conspiracy Theory.
Will Jackson take Vegas by storm? There always seems to be a storm wherever he goes, but he is crossing his fingers for clear skies ahead.
