Mudcrutch To Release Live EP
On November 11, Mudcrutch (Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, Benmont Tench, Tom Leadon, and Randall Marsh) will release Extended Play Live, 4-song EP culled from the band’s brief concert tour in the wake of its eponymous debut album earlier this year.

The tracklisting includes three Mudcrutch originals – “The Wrong Thing To Do,” “Bootleg Flyer,” and a 15-minute version of “Crystal River” – as well as a cover of Jerry Lee Lewis’ rollicking 1958 classic, “High School Confidential.” All tracks were recorded at California’s Ventura Theatre and the Troubadour.

On the day of the EP’s release, VH1 Classic will premiere The Story of Mudcrutch, which chronicles the rise, fall, and improbable reunion of the Gainesville, Florida band. Peter Bogdanovich, who also directed the 2007 film, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers: Runnin’ Down A Dream, produces the documentary.

In addition to its standard CD and digital issues, Extended Play Live will also come out on 108 gram High Performance Vinyl. It is currently streaming on Mudcrutch’s official website.
