Trent Reznor and the rest of whose behind the Nine Inch Nails stronghold continue their streak of sabotaging the music industry as we know it. An official update on nin.com yesterday revealed pre-sale information for tickets for the upcoming U.S. summer tour offering the best seats only to fans who register at the site before they go on sale to the general public.
In an effort to eliminate scalping and make sure only true NIN fans experience the show, these round of tickets may only be purchased will-call style where they are picked up the day of the show at the selected venue by only the purchaser whose name matches the one ID used to buy them. Once acquired, fans must immediately enter the location – so no running back outside to try and sell it for double. Reznor also promises that these will be cheaper than ones acquired through ticketing agencies (read: the wicked Ticketmaster.) Ticket information for the August 31 Lexington, KY show will be up tomorrow, with the rest coming to you early next week. Be on standby with those credit cards and keep the refresh button handy, if prior shows are any indication, this is set to be once tour that will be hard to come by.
