Looks like punctuation-hating indie-pop quartet Panic at the Disco slapped us with another video Tuesday, this time for “That Green Gentlemen,” aka track five off of their latest disc, Pretty. Odd.
Never having heard much from this band after their radio-station-festooning single “I Write Sins Not Tragedies,” I can see they’re progressing naturally along a nice, user-friendly, teen-pop direction – though not in such a way as to be confused with the other Vegas band, the one that completely conquered, and is now the king of, that direction.
The video pops onto the scene as PATD are gearing up for their small-but-fuel-efficient-automobile tour, and features the usual jive: comp-animated talking things, instruments being played in fields and old fashioned bikes. But I will say the technology to make normal-sized people look tiny as they run around on tabletops has come a long way since, um, the freaking ‘80s. Check it out below, courtesy of Atlantic Records.
