Say it aint' so! As much of a shock as it may be to some of Mr. Aiken's more sheltered fans, the 2003 American Idol runner-up with the winning smile and All-American boyish looks (which some have said suggest a cross between Radiohead's Thom Yorke and MAD magazine's Alfred E. Neuman) has in fact come out of the closet. Sorry girls, he aint' married, but he is gay. People Magazine will officially break the news that broke a million young hearts in a cover story with the headline "Yes, I'm Gay" and a shot featuring Aiken and his young son, Parker Foster Aiken. Details on the conception have not been disclosed other than the fact that the mother is record producer and Aiken pal Jaymes Foster. Anticipating the trauma sure to follow this shocking revelation, emergency trauma centers are being set up nationwide by local chapters of the Claymates (not to be confused with playmates or even gaymates), the Girl Scouts, the Camp Fire Girls, and the George Michael fan club. Cinema Blend will dutifully follow up on any and all of the fallout from this stunning news. Once again, repeating today's top music news: Clay Aiken is gay. We now return you to our normal music coverage.
