Norah Jones, the most overrated musician of our time, has been tapped to appear in Wong Kar Wai’s new film My Blueberry Nights. She’ll also perform a few numbers for the soundtrack including the opening number entitled “The Story.” I have no idea whether the multiple platinum artist can act, but conventional wisdom tells me it’ll certainly be an improvement over her whiney, go-nowhere piano solos.
According to Billboard, My Blueberry Nights will feature Jude Law, Natalie Portman, and Rachel Weisz alongside Ravi Shankar’s daughter. The basic story outline follows a trouble woman who embarks on a cross-country voyage to rid herself of past demons. One would assume she will also be singing along the way. Yay. The motion picture croons into theaters on February 13th.
