Novoselic Joins Flipper Album

You have no idea who the hell Flipper is, and that is your loss. Arguably the most influential noise band of all time, their long strange journey is a lot more interesting than that meddlesome dolphin’s. When asked about the group’s history, one member described Flipper as ”like Spinal Tap, except the bass player keeps dying.”. But even after two OD’s, a horrific car accident, and several reunion gigs in which the quartet played under the moniker ‘Not Flipper’, the group is ready to record a new album. It’ll be their first in over fifteen years and contain a special guest.

According to Billboard, former Nirvana bassist and current Ron Paul backer Krist Novoselic is contributing to Flipper’s new album. He’s also signed on for any immediate tours. As some of you may remember, Kurt Cobain was a huge Flipper fan, going so far as to make his own t-shirts in support of the act. Little known fact: Moby once stepped in for lead singer Will Shatter while he was in jail. How bizarre.
